well done!
Achieve A levels: A*A*A
GCSEs: 7 A*, 4A
UKCAT: 687.5 av
SJT: Band 1
Not planning to take the BMAT either

Do you know if UEA uses PS during the interview stage at all?
You have awesome stats!

No idea about its use after calling to interview. All I know is that the personal statement needs to be 'satisfactory' for primary screening to even get the interview. All the other unis I am applying to have lists of what qualities they look for in the personal statement but I couldn't find the same for UEA. I doubt they use it during the interview stage really.

What they do have is a work experience form for those invited to interview which I assume will be a part of the assessment.

The UKCAT is very important for UEA although they say it only counts for 33% but the points they give to it is very high so it compensate for a lower weight. check this to have clarity for last year.

you should do the calcuations from the sheet attached and see your score. if you are above the cut off you should apply but it depends on your GCSEs as well or other grades.

I got a follow up email today from the admissions team;

Further to your email we confirm that guidance relating to how an application is processed for the MB BS Medicine has been updated on our website.
All on-time applications proceed to primary screening, where checks are made to see that applicants meet, or are predicted to meet, our minimum academic entry criteria, have a satisfactory personal statement and reference and have taken the UKCAT test in the summer prior to submitting the application. Applicants are then invited to interview (from late November/December onwards).
If the number of applications received exceed the number of interview places available those meeting primary screening requirements may also undergo secondary screening, where the GCSE grades and/or UKCAT scores may be assessed and ranked against the applicant cohort, with the strongest applicants invited to interview. Following the completion of interviews, interviewed applicants are ranked (by interview – which includes the UKCAT SJT subsection score - and UKCAT overall scores) within the applicant cohort. The top ranking applicants will receive offers.

Hey, thanks for attaching this sheet. Based on the values I was able to calculate my score, but where does UEA list their cutoff for interviews? I looked through their website but didn't find anything... Thanks a ton!

Hi! I actually have some of questions ☺
When did you first hear back from UEA about interviews and when was your interview date? How did you find the interview, i.e. was the atmosphere quite calm or was it really tense? What is your favourite thing about studying in UEA and your favourite thing about Norwich as a city?
Thank you very much for offering to answer any questions, even if you can't answer mine.
