Personal statement

Should I write a personal statement for Biology and Chemistry?
I like biology and wouldnt mind doing it at university but i would really love to do chemistry but most universities require you to do maths a level (im doing chemistry art and biology). I only want to do chemistry at UCL as they do material chemistry so i could go on to do material engineering (which is my dream) but apply for biology everywhere else (including UCL). is this a good idea or should i just redo year 12 and do maths? or just do biology at university?

They don't really care that much about your personal statement, so I reckon it won't be a problem to talk about chemistry. It's a huge part of biology anyway. If you've got great predicted grades you're already likely to get an offer. Your PS doesn't have to be spectacular or even all that memorable, it just has to be there to show you give a damn.
