Help! Contact lenses/glasses/prescription etc. problem

Bit long but i'd appreciate any help!

Right, this is absloutly bizarre and I want peoples opinions on this, or whether anyone has ever experienced anything like this before.

Ok, I've worn glasses for about six years and about a year ago I got hard contact lenses, all fine, had them for about six months and all was dandy.
Then I stupidly managed to lose my left one, doesn't matter how. Called my opticians up and they gave me a new one, but when I tried it, the prescription was too weak. Optician assumed it was a lab fault and so sent it back, requesting a new one with new parameters, but not full power (i.e. not as strong as it should be)(when the first lens was wrong he gave me a new eye test before ordering the new one).
I should note that despite my left eye apparently changing prescription, my glasses which I've had for years were still fine and I could see perfectly.

When I tried this one lens on, it was still too weak so he ordered me a new one to full strength, which I tried today. This was fine and I wore them earlier and they're all good, and then a couple of hours ago I took them out and put my glasses in.

All was fine, watched TV etc. Then suddenly, when I sat down at my computer, my RIGHT eye seems to have suddenly deteroriated and I can't see as clearly as I should be able to out of the eye with my glasses on. Has anyone got any idea what these sudden changes could be due to? I really don't understand it.

This doesn't seem particularly normal. I think it is important that you go and see a doctor or you optician as soon as you can. Make sure you wear only your glasses until you have. Its probably nothing to worry about but just get things checked out to be sure.

Sometimes having lenses in (especially rigid ones) can change the shape of your eyes slightly, which temporarily affects your vision. Leave the lenses out for a while and if this is the problem, it should correct itself.

I will echo the previous poster - go back to your optician.
