Chest pains today

Hokai, Today I've been having these strange pains in my chest, round about where my heart is. Earlier I thought it was heartburn but I can't be sure cause Im not very prone to heartburn. When I was walking home my chest was getting really tight, like my heart was shrinking and I found it hard to keep going, and it wasn't like a stabbing pain, more of a weird sticky type thing beneath my ribs. I felt better when I got home and ate something but it was pretty horrible. It was going on for quite a few hours and when I breathe in now its like theres something stuck between my heart and my ribs. I have a rubbish diet and Im worried I might have a blocked vessel :frown: Any idea what the pains were?

I'm like you, I'm such a hypochondriac that whenever I get chest pains/ headaches etc, which isn't very often, I assume it's heart disease, or blocked arteries or something like that. But really, at our age, all that's highly unlikely, and more probably it's something like a pulled rib muscle or indegestion. But if it continues, you could always see your doctor, to put your mind at rest.

Hello, if I were you I would make an appointment to see your doctor. There are numerous causes of chest pain and visiting your GP would rule them out and put your mind at rest.
