Eye problem

My friend's eye is really swollen and red. She's being really awkward and refuses to see anyone about it.

She said she took her contacts out on Thursday night and after that her left eye was slightly painful but she ignored it and put her contacts in again the next day which eased the pain a little but her eye was still irritated. Late last night it started hurting her again so she took her contact lens out.

She woke up this morning and the pain was mostly gone but she said it kind of stings and aches a bit, especially when she touches the eyelid or moves the eye up or down. It wasn't until this morning that it got swollen.

I know it's impossible to diagnose over the internet but does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

She seems to think it will go away on its own. Should I try to persuade her to see a doctor? She's having a pretty rough time in general life right now so I don't really want to drag her out with a puffy eye but if I have to I will.

Oh and she doesn't even own a pair of glasses so she's functioning with only one eye right now
she should really see someone
Is there lots of fluid coming from it? If so, could be conjunctivitis. Get her to see somebody about it though

My dad told me about someone who had something simalar, he went to the optician who's words were "Go to hospital, dont go home, dont have a drink, go straight to hospital" He had an ulcer or something in there and was a couple of hours from losing his sight.

Get her to check it out unless she wants to risk losing her sight and regretting it for the rest of her life.
How come you know everything about her, you sure 'she' is not 'you'

Very sure. I was with her for a while. Saw it. Came home. Googled it. Understood nothing. Made this post.
Anyway, it's not hurting her anymore and the redness has almost gone so I doubt she will do anything about it.

That ulcer stuff is scary but thankfully it seems like it's getting better so I don't think it's that. I'm going to tell her about it anyway and hope she goes to see someone about it anyway.
Could be an infection
maybe she got cum in it the night before and was too embarassed to tell you?
