Is it better to do a vocational A level than actual A level

With the grading system change this year and the pressure students are put in. Is it better to do a Btech vocational qualification where its 70% course work and 30% exam compared to A levels 100 % exam. And with voc u get the equivalent D* as an A*.

It totally depends how you learn - do you prefer coursework or exams? Studying a BTEC is genuinely hard work because you're often juggling 2/3 different assignments at a time, aswell as trying to revise for exams. And A-Levels have a heck of a lot of content that many require you to balance with coursework. For me they're both tough in their own ways.

Also be careful because while a D* may equal an A*, many universities and employers (rightly or wrongly) look upon A-Levels favourably and have a prejudice against BTECs. That's not me saying you can't work or go to university with a BTEC, because plenty of people do (and a BTEC can be useful for vocational degrees such as nursing!) but A-Levels tend to open more doors.

Hope this helps!

It depends what suits you, what you intend to do and what you choose.

Better for what?
