Moved to Applications and UCAS.

You can apply to 5 universities at once per applications cycle. You choose the universities that you're applying to, you fill in the UCAS form online where you also add in any grades you do have. Your predicted grades are sent along with the reference, which is a statement written by a teacher talking about you. You may have a teacher at your school who specialises in helping out with the applications process and therefore you may receive advice on which universities you'd have a shot at. The UCAS form is then submitted by a teacher. They can be submitted at any time from the start of September to the 15th of January - unless you are applying for medicine, dentistry or vet med, or you are applying to either Oxford or Cambridge, in which case the deadline is the 15th of October. Your school can't stop you from applying to a uni, nor can they force you to apply to one.

The beginning of year 13 is when you’ll start your uni application process.

You have complete control over the 5 universities you wish to put down as your choices, though your sixth form leader may advised you on certain aspects

if you're maybe applying to too many 'aspirational' choice unis, your sixth form head could say something, but that's it really.
