You can, but it's not talking about how long the lense lasts, but how long your eye can cope with them with them in.

Dailies are thick lenses and close your eye off from the air completely.

I wear monthly lenses, which are only supposed to be worn for 8 hrs at a time, I have - however - regularly gone beyond that with little or no ill effects. It just makes your eyes a bit sore.

Don't worry too much about keeping your lenses in all day/overnight/whatever, just try not to do it too often.

I wear dailies and usually have them in way longer that 12 hours, it just makes my eyes feel really dry and I can actually feel my lenses in my eye a bit more. I have been doing it for about 4 years and the optician says my eyes are perfectly healthy.

I think i'm going to get something for laser eye surgery or contacts I hate glasses. I used to wear contacts and though they were alot of trouble, I felt much more confident and it was awesome to see without glasses :s-smilie:.

I was thinking about laser eye surgery but im a bit too scared. Maybe I'll just get one eye done...

I heard there are risks involved thats why I'm also a bit worried about going for it.
Yet it could be the best decision ever, who knows...

It would be cheaper in the long run, and less effort. Not so great if you end up blind though. Most people don't even know that I wear glasses as i never wear them I always have contacts in

It's unhealthy, but possible. Personally I wear mine about 15 hours a day, sometimes more. I got some nice new glasses though so I'm trying to cut down.
