For university focus more on A level grades an do well in mock tests and get good predictions as universities will use that to give you an offer. Then do well in A levels and achieve your offer and you'll be fine. They'll mainly use English and maths gcses but let's say you wanted to go to LSE for economics, they'd recognised you did it at gcse and it may help your case.
