Autism; No proof; can I still let people know?

Hi!

I've got an 'Is it okay?' querey.

I'm autisitic, it's beyond obvious, and I have a tonne of other diagnoses that couldn't make it any more obvious I'm autistic unless I had a huge neon sign over my head pointing at me saying 'Autistic'. I wasn't diagnosed with the other 'issues' until I was 19 yrs old, but the guy didn't 'beleive in labels' so refused to properly explain it to me, and I didn't get to get the right help until 4 years later, half way through my MSc!

Despite this; I have no proof. I was never diagnosed with Autism, and as I keep moving around I've no time to wait for an NHS listed diagnosis, neither can I afford a private diagnosis yet.

I'm finally leaving education and entering the working world; what I need to know is, is it okay to warn people I'm autistic, even if I have no proof?
It doesn't matter. Most employers don't bat an eyelid to whether you're autistic or not, as long as you can do your job. Of course some jobs aren't suitable for people on the spectrum, but you'll know how to avoid them
