Should I apply for Maths appeal?

Need 2 marks for A* in C3. Got neither on remark, but Imperial maths undergrad and Cambridge maths undergrad believe I should appeal and would get both. Will attach

Attachments very slow, so will try and explain...

C3, question 5a, , awarded 0/2, my working:

2 |5-x| + 3 = k

10 - 2x +3 = k
13-2x=k

2|5-x|+3=k
2 (-5+x) + 3 = k
-10+2x +3 =k
2x-7 =k

k = 13-2x k = 2x-7 x=5 k=3

k bigger than or equal to sign 3
the second mark is out of the question, the case I would appeal for is one mark
although i am aware that my working indicates i have no idea what is going on, I did write k=3, which is to be awarded a mark, according to the ms
although k is bigger than or equal to 3 follows my k=3 and that shouldn't be awarded the mark, to quote the general guidance for marking c3/4, incorrect statements following a correct answer should be ignored
whilst i know this is me arguing for a mark on a technicality, at the end of the day, i want an A*, so would appreciate opinions on whether anyone thinks such an appeal would succeed

am pretty sure that the other mark I need would be awarded, as I have written exactly what the mark scheme requires. thus, it all hinges on whether I would be awarded the above mark
