Would I be able to do dentistry at Birmingham?

I meet the gcse requirements for English language and maths :7 but for bio and chemistry I achieved a 7 (A) and Birmingham want an 8. Is there any chance of me being offered a place at Birmingham if I get high a level grades and a good UKCAT score. I know other universities would accept me for dentistry but I would like to go to Birmingham because I don’t want to move away from home - student accommodation prices etc.

It isn't that far off; I think you can :smile: When the time comes, just go and apply. Don't worry about rejection, because it happens to great students as well.

Okay thanks.
I know when my daughter applied they were warned that applications that did not meet the minimum requirement were discarded immediately as they simply had too many applications to investigate further. Because the numerical grading is new you might be lucky. I would certainly source some back up unis .
