I'm 5ft 6in and i'm 58.6 kg, I've lost over half a stone in the past 4 weeks because I've started to exercise. I power-walk about 8 miles a week and I've stopped snacking on crappy foods. 55 kg is a little under what be classed as a healthy BMI, but I can totally see where you're coming from. I don't think a few pounds under is too drastic and if its what makes you feel confident I say go for it, I have a similar goal in mind though I am keeping my health in mind and I wont let my weight loss go too far.
