I dunno if they find it gay but I do. Just because people can't just like anime. They have to go overboard and dress up as them in public or have weird perverted posters in their room or recite the lines of an entire episode mid-convo or sing the theme songs of the "OST". So cringe :rofl:

It's just animation, some anime's are very mature and certainly not "gay". It's just a form of entertainment like watching TV shows. I'm personally a fan of Beserk, Boku no Hero Academia and Dragon Ball Z.
