How do I claim my wordpress blog on pinterest?

I want to claim my wordpress blog on pinterest but can't work it out

I either have to upload a HTML file and upload it to my blogs root directory, OR paste a tag into the <head> section of my sites index file

For one, I can't work out how to find where to upload the file, where do I put it because i can't locate a directory

And for two, I can't find the index file or ANY HTML for that matter

Help please?
