haha nice!! it doesnt look bad:smile: couldnt tell you anything about it though, sorry.
It looks like it's just an independent hall of residence that has delusions of grandeur, they don't offer or award any qualifications themselves.

i was thinking of going for a tour but i would have to travel down and with exams and everything i wont be able to get there till june :frown: didnt know if i should just apply now and then decide and go down if i get in
It looks really dubious. Like, a way to fleece international students.

It's stunning! Went to a conference there before Christmas. The whole place is amazing! Next to Corum's fields and about 5mins from Russel Square. Location wise - you couldn't be better suited.

Cost wise, it's actually not that much more per week than I'll be paying (if they ever open the PG accom application  ) for the most expensive halls at RHUL

RHUL is £121 a week plus food! (38 week rent) UCL's costs are pretty much the same, some halls are slightly cheaper.
christ!! i'd love to live/study/work in london but at those prices i simply couldn't afford to. students in halls nowadays are getting really ripped off. as i've said before, you could literally buy a house with those sorts of figures, especially if there were 2 of you. i have graduate friends on the commuter belt who pay less and they are in pretty new, tiptop 2 bed apartments with 2 designated parking spaces. it's just insane.

as far as i can tell UCL dont offer post grad application to home students  or if they do its only if they have some left, which means you will be left hanging till the last moment

£130 is good for the location, i don't think you could buy even a one bed flat for less then £300,000 in central London tbh
oh no, i agree with you about the house prices of london. london is fab, i love it to bits and its probably my fave place in the uk. it's a shame that home students have to find their own accommodation, but if £130 is normal then fair enough.
Makes me quite glad i'm up north. I was paying £48 a week in first year.

It's stupid isn't it? It's what worries me most if I go on further after my MA.

Saying that, Chi are charging over £100 a week for halls...
in 2003-2004 i was paying less than £70 for a new, grade 2 listed city centre location but now exeter have built a shed load of new halls which are similar to what you are paying. it is scary!
I pay less for a 3 bed house with a large garden and a garage in a nice estate away from a main road.

Glad I don't live in london.
Between the two of us, the mortgage comes to less than that!!

Not in central London. I'm shocked at how cheap they are - £275 for a 3 bed flat is amazingly cheap. Even being in zone 2 my housemates and I pay £450 a week.

Hell, even when I was at Oxford, some colleges cost above £123 a week, and most were over £100, for a single room, and this was subsidised.

This place is cheaper, by quite a way, than anywhere I've seen near the location it is.
