I'm actually starting the GDL (not a BA in Law), but since I did my undergraduate degree at Cambridge, I wanted to ask what, if any, pearls of wisdom you had regarding a First class law essay at Oxbridge.
I know that Oxford's Jurisprudence degree is slightly different in its focus to Cambridge's Law BA (apparently Oxford's degree is more theory based?).
So far, I've read that a First Class essay must:
- Truly answer the question
- Take a definite position
- Show some originality and flair in its analysis of the issues at stake
Do you have any examples/ideas on this topic?
Thank you!
