read my thread on it, it's more for A level students but can be applied to GCSEs nonetheless and helps prepare you for A levels which you will be doing after GCSEs

I think you should first work out which revision method is effective for you. For example, I find writing condensed revision notes, making quizlets from my notes, and using practice papers and revising from the mark schemes effective whereas other people prefer to make flash cards and test themselves regularly.
