MMU Lecture times

Hi all, are any of you already at MMU???

I have accepted a place there for september and i was just wondering roughly what time lectures finish? I will be doing combined studies Social History/Cultural Studies

this question is not because i want to get out of class early, i am trying to get childcare sorted and I am worried i will still be in class at 6 or 7 o'clock!

can anyone help, i have contacted the uni and i am waiting on a response

any help you can offer would be great! x

Well at the moment i'm doing History and none of my lectures finish later than 2. i think the latest they can go on until is 5.. but i don't know anyone that unfortunate! Your course isn't very lecture based anyway so i wouldn't worry!
see website? or e mail faculty directly
i have a lecture 5 till 6, it's very annoying and i rarely attend it.

if you emailed them don't expect much :p: ..try ringing up the specific department or something. I do psych and sociology and my lastest lecture this was was 5 one day every other week, next year my latest will also be 5 on one day also. all other days I'm finished by like 3 at latest.

Hi, I'm studying English and the departmental policy is that classes run between 10-1 and 2-5, usually a one hour lecture followed by a 2 hour seminar.

On my computing course my lessons were normally 10 - 1 then 2 - 6
Some of them do go on relatively late; until 6 o clock. But look at the upside, inclass lecture time amounts to about 12-14 hours per week, well it did in my first year!

I had 10-5 lectures on a Tuesday (with breaks). I had tutor sessions too which ended at 5. I wouldn't think they'd keep you there later than 6 to be honest. I had an occasional workshop that went on to 8 but that was only 3-4 times over the year.
Hey Guys

Im starting Human Biology at MMU in September - can't wait! Just wondering, does anybody know roughly how many hours per week are spent in lectures?

Eagerly anticipating your reply
