I'm about to go to uni to study history (literally in 2 days). My parents have payed the first terms rent and fees. I am really worried about career options for a history degree as I fear I am severely limiting my job opportunities. There are other options through clearing. For example York has a human geography and environment degree which I would be more comfortable to study as it leads to more job opportunities.

I have loved history for a while but my interest in the subject waned over 2 years.

What should I do?

Similar situation about another course. Just change courses if you don’t want to and history does limit options.

Should I withdraw from my uni (Manchester) and try and get another course or go to Manchester and then change course.

I would stick with Manchester and then change course. Changing universities is a whole new process and you’re starting in 2 days.
