I'm not really sure how universities look at grades but I currently have the predicted grades of 1 A* and 3 As. The course that I am applying to at Oxford (modern languages) has the minimum required grades of 3 As.

Would somebody who has higher grades than me have advantage over me, or do they only care that I meet the requirements?

Is it a problem that my A* prediction isn't in French?
