Hey guys, so basically I’m just regretting doing this topic for my project and need some advice. I am investigating the effect of aloe Vera on the growth of 3 different types of fungus. I was wondering whether measuring the area of fungus on an agar Petri dish is a valid/sufficient method of measuring fungal growth? Also would it be better to measure the fungus at regular intervals or just after 2 days?

If ANYONE could help I would be SO grateful. Thank you!!

I have kind of done a similar project, I might be able to help. I am seeing how dettol affects 4 different bacteria and to measure the results, I used a ruler and measured the diameter where the dettol killed the bacteria and this was a valid way to take results (according to my teacher).

Also, I am still really stuck on how to start the evaluation of results and what to even put inside that section to get most marks. Any suggestions would be great

Would I be able to calculate apparatus uncertainties for the evaluations section - or is this more of a chemistry-y project thing to do?

I was thinking this too, I’m unsure as to whether to include these calculations...

I was looking to do that for my project also, but I’ve asked a couple people and they have said to leave it out unless it supports a certain point you are trying to make/highlight within the evaluation but idk
