Edexcel IAL Chemsitry

I am really confused about the specification of this paper . There are two specification in thier edexcel website .

As I am going to give my examination this January. I am really confused which specs I have to really follow. Is there anyone who's giving Chemistry IAL this jan can help me out?

The first one is the specification that students who began their preparation last year or earlier are working towards. If you are taking all of your exams in January you will be using this specification.

The other 2018 specification should be used by those starting their A level study now and working towards final exams in 2019/20. Only the first AS unit for this specification is available in January.

The availability of exams for the old and new specification are detailed in the subject guide.

Whats the difference between the 2018 edexcel science specification and the 2013 one? I heard it has something to do with practicals
