Which Uni for Psychology?

Hi, I’m looking to study Psychology at Uni next year and have no idea which University to pick. From looking at courses and league tables so far, my top 3 are Birmingham, Leeds and Nottingham Trent. Are there any other really good universities I should definitely consider?? If anyone has any personal experience with studying Psychology please let me know!

Look at the entry requirements and course details for loads of them and then go to the open days of ones you're more interested in.

Definitely look at Uni of Bristol! I'm absolutely loving it there, great psychology course and amazing city.

Hi,

When looking for Psychology courses (and Honestly uni courses in general) I would always suggest exploring individual modules at the University and the specifics of them. As for Psychology, given it is accredited by the British Psychology Society (BPS) it will have to cover Cognitive, Developmental, Biological/Neuro and social psychology as well as Research methods (Stats). However it is the individual differences at course level which often make the difference for some people as this is what they will be doing for the coming years.

An example of this is the specific specialisms within optional modules. At Reading for example we currently, and in the past, have had more modules in Health and Clinical Psychology than Forsenic psychology. Whereas other university's are different. So check out specifics as to what they offer! You can typically check this out by speaking with students from that university or via module sites which usually can be found online! Be aware though, these are typically subject to change - so chat to the University more about which fields you are most interested in!

Overall, I found that through looking at these differences and alligning them with what I found most interesting, really helped my search for university's!

I hope this helps
