If the child receives adequate care and attention, there is no reason to say it will turn out any worse than a child raised by non-related parents.
I don't think the relation status of the parents has any bearing on the child's quality of upbringing.

Yes: I grew up with my family members. I knew my siblings when they were tiny and have watched them grow. The thought of my parents having sex makes me cringe, let alone my siblings. I also find it rude and vulgar in general sometimes when people speak very specifically of their sexual experiences to me: again, because this corrupts the image I held of them.

Think of it like when everyone found out that Chuck Norris was homophobic. Everyone disliked him after then because his image was corrupted.
