I have literally just started my gap year and I've accepted a deferred place at the University of Brighton for 2019 entry. Will I get early slots for accommodation like people with unconditional offers in early 2019 or do I get the chance later like other applicants?

Hey! I can't speak for all universities, but I've accepted a deferred place for 2019 entry as well! I was wondering the same thing and sent an email to the accommodation office. This is what they said at my uni: "Thank you for your email. You are correct that you will need to wait until Spring 2019 to apply for accommodation for the 2019/20 academic year."

I guess there might be a possibility that you can apply a few weeks before other applicants, but it's unlikely that you will get to apply sooner than that.
Hope it helped!

Hi

Sorry for the late answer, we've been re-setting our studentroom accounts, so have been offline here for a while.

We don't have any early accommodation applications for any students. All students apply at the same time from early March. The only difference for unconditional offer holders is that they may recieve their specific room offer earlier than conditional offer holders as we can't offer until we know you're definitely coming!

So you will apply for accommodation from early March, using our online portal. You will get an email inviting you to apply when we open for applications.

I hope this clears it up but if you've got any more questions, fire away!
