ANATOMY Help please! Any medics out there pls help -medial &lateral view

What is the difference between Medial view and lateral view?
I just can't make out the difference from this image

Medial means you are looking at the picture from towards your body. For example, the medial side of my arm ( assuming I'm standing with my palms facing forward) would be the side with little finger (medial means closest to your body). The lateral side is the side away from your body, so in my case the side with my thumb. It's all confusing when you start medical school, but it'll eventually make sense, Good luck!
