Foundation year confusion

Hello, I am currently applying to unis for 2019 entry. I am having to apply for courses with a foundation year as I do not have the grades to start in year 1. I was wondering how this works with student finance. the thing is, I have already used a year of student finance on an open university module which means I no longer have my 'gift year'. Will I still be able to apply for courses with a foundation year and get my course fully funded or do foundation years usually count as the gift year?

Hi Lucy

If you have previously studied with the Open University, this would be classed as Part Time study. Provided that you did not gain a qualification for your part time study, this would not be counted towards your entitlement and you would still be eligible to receive a full time package of support for your course.
