What is the average A Level results?

What's are the average A Level grades, and what grade is considered a fail, as in anywhere below a C in GCSE is deemed a fail, what is the fail grade at A Level?

It's a lot more variable. The average A-level grade is between a high C and a low B, typically, and most people would consider below C a "fail" (though a few say below D).

Not that I see why you care much... but fair enough.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I still think high C is probably average.

If anyone says BBB (or 300 points) is the average outcome they'll have me to answer to :smile:

Sorry. My reading accuracy can be terrible sometimes. I saw the average grade bit, and "deemed a fail" but not the what is a fail.

I'll try harder next time. I blame a lack of sleep and borderline dyslexia.

I think lots of people get B's and C's and quite a few get A's, also. I don't think the UK average is AAAA. I think 25% (or something) get 1 A or more. I don't know! :p:

There's a grade calculator thing somewhere (wish I could find the link) and it said the average grades were: CCCb (or equivalent in points).

Definitly, anyway, ~~I have the biggest willy~~ I got 12 A's at A level. (In year 4) :p:

The national average is 207.5 points.

I too have read that the average grade (over all subjects) is on the threshold of B/C. However, the average grade on TSR is an A, with some especially intelligent people having to cross over on to a whole new, bespoke alphabet in order to obtain a grade (because they are THAT good) :wink:
