I’m going East London university next year, I’m Muslim so I don’t drink, I don’t party, I’m socially awkward person anyway, what’s it like living in student accommodation at East London university, I don’t wanna be somewhere that smells of alchohol or have drunk people being noisy most nights. I’m thinking of going in a student studio room, where I have my own kitchen but I also wanna make friends. My sister doesn’t live far from there I could live with her but will I be missing out?

General list of people you can make friends with at uni, ignoring all options revolving around drinking and partying because Islam is fun:
-Lecture people
-society people
-Rare randoms

Move into halls, you can add flatmates and hallsmates to that list of potentials.

Side note: I don't think any abode will ever smell of alcohol unless you share with people who have crippling alcoholism.
