I did not have the discipline to finish the final grade of highschool, so I decided to pursue a GED instead. I feel left out and downgraded because I'll be missing prom, graduation day, and hanging out with friends (they all finished already), while also acknowledging at the fact that a GED is generally not as good as a highschool diploma, or it's generally viewed as a program for dropouts who couldn't commit in a long time study so it could limit your choice for post-secondary schools as well as jobs/employment (from what I heard asking on Quora). How do I cope with this feeling?
