Slightly above your budget, but I'd strongly recommend extending it a bit.
I bought these speakers recently, great sound quality and good volume.
Also has a helpful little wired remote for convenient volume changing and power switching.

    Hope that helps

I'm an audiophile (after gr8 sound quality) and also watch alot of films. Though your on a budget, around £15, i suggest you go after a 5.1 surround sound system rather than 2.1

Its exactly to your asking price.

tbh most speakers at that sort of price will be poor.

unless you need a sub, you'd probably be better off getting a more meaty 2.0 system as opposed to the flimsy satellite speakers which come with 2.1 systems.

IMO any cheap sub will make the bass sound sloppy.

    EDIT:

looking at your price range, it seems you will get the most power out of a 2.1 or 5.1 system, seeing as you wont be getting anything high quality this will be your best bet (it will be louder)

Spending a bit more money will make a huge difference...

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/126176 maybe?

A 5.1 system at that price will sound even worse than a 2.1 or 2.0, since you are getting 5 very cheap satellites, rather than 2 semi-cheap ones.

Absolutely. Please, for god's sake don't buy a 5.1 system for that price, it will be far, far worse than a 2.1.
