The question is: The rate of photosynthesis in plants depends on the temperature and carbon dioxide concentration in the air. scientists investigated the effect of temperatue on the rate of photosynthesis. they used leaves of a crop plant at two different concentrations of carbon dioxide. the scientists measured the rate of uptake of carbon dioxide by the leaves.Figure 11 shows the scientist's results. Suggest two variables that the scientists should have controlled in their investigation. Figure 11 shows the net rate of photosynthesis. the net rate is the balance of carbon dioxide taken in by the leaf and carbon dioxide produced by the leaf. which process produces carbon dioxide in the leaf cells. draw a ring around the correct answer : osmosis phototropism respiration.

1.) The concentration of CO2, the size of the leaf.
2.) Respiration: it produces CO2 and water when respiring.

Didn't have or use the mark scheme, but this should be what you're looking for.
