BUT im not sure if i want to do that :P i dont want to decline my hallam offer and then find out id would of wished i went to it.

How about visiting Hallam (again) to help you make up your mind as to whether you'd regret it if you didn't go there?

Hmm, im really liking the idea to go do the foundation year as i havnt done science in 2 years neither proper maths, so personally i think i would need it doing engineering.

but other side of me wonders am i ruining a good chance? :P ugh planning your whole future is hard.

Ah. Well, that sounds like Leeds might be the more sensible option, then - unless you're confident you'll be able to cope with the course even without a foundation year.

At university, you mean? I'm doing an MA in Renaissance Literature, but I suppose that information won't be terribly helpful to you.:p:

i dont think foundation years are funded by the student loans company so you may have to check this before deciding for sure (unless your funding yourself obviously)

Leeds is a much better university than Hallam and Met and as you havent done maths or science for 2 years the foundation year is probably worth it.

Assuming you meet the conditions I suggest that you accept Hallam and, if after a year you hate the place/course, apply to Leeds - the first year of your SHU course will stretch you more than any foundation course...
