CCTVs, they are a sort of barrier im sure you can think of a reason why its an emotional one

I'd recomment doing a 3D peice maybe

Thanks. I thought about masks? I don't actually like any of my ideas.
I've been doing some more research and I don't actually understand how to set out the ideas in the art book if that makes sense. I've completely changed my mind about emotional barriers, I either want to do temporary barriers with things like homelessness and temporary clothing or cultural barriers with the relationship between countries. Arrrgh! I'm so confused. Does that mean I have to change my artists? I haven't done any preparation whatsoever for my final piece and I'm panicking. I have artist's analysis but no ideas and it looks like I'm going to have to start again from scratch. Is it worth it?
Sorry for the essay just really stressed.

I think thats a good idea, you can perhaps do a peice that contrasts diplomacy and war maybe?

and you dont change ur artists, just say how these artists influenced you but you wanted to express that in 3d rather than 2d and maybe look at another artist that does similar 3D works.

I was in your position, was going to do a painting initially then decided a 3D model. So looked at diff artists and then related it to my previous artists and so on

Good Luck!
Take over the room.

Staplegun chicken wire to the door frame, wrap loads of no entry tape across it too. then, inside the room place objects which people desire... chocolate cake, money, wedding ring, photographs of family, the keys to get out of the building?

Make the examiner stand the other side
i'm assuming you've looked at magritte: the lovers? oh wait you changed the title...perhaps barrier of culture? clash of culture? a white girl in a sari? dunno really

Thank you all! I feel inspired. Now I just need to get an actual art book instead of paper...

Well going back to your original post and the mention of emotional barriers. If you really wanted to do that then why don't you touch on the philosophical limitations our emotions have on our perceptions? For example you could produce a scene (landscape, still life, people etc) and then manipulate the scene on the basis of an emotion distorting it. So depression could distort it with darker colours and longer shadows or illusions (the list is endless). You could relate this to almost any artist you choose. Seeing as all art is influenced by our perception and emotional state.

Good luck with whatever you choose!
