Hi, on question 3.)I.) on this paper, i'm not sure how to solve it or how to go about doing so. One thing I thought of was to plug in the values of the coordinates given into the given equation of the line, but then the modulus function just confused it all? Many thanks

Yes you can just plug in the coordinates.

You get that 0 = a |-1+b| from which you can obtain your b value straight away.

And then you also get that \frac{1}{2} = a |0 + b| from which you can again obtain a immediately since you know b.
