Terrible and tragic news, for his family, friends and loved ones. Horrible that the one troll was victim blaming.

Perhaps we can all be a little bit more cognizant of our surroundings, and when out late at nights, try to be with and stick with groups of friends. I realize those things may not be enough every time, but these are just some reasonable steps we can all try to keep in mind.

I hope he wasnt pushed in and it was just an accident. Its easy to say dont walk home alone or dont drink or dont go near water, but it was 2:30 am. Hundreds of thousands of students each year and these events are quite rare. He had already crossed the river, so strange how he ended in it. Wait to see what the investigation says. A tragedy especially for the parents.
