Undergoing a huge amount of stress...

Hi all,

A lot has been going through my mind. I achieved three A* grades which I did not expect. I was unaware of "Adjustment" so accepted my offer at the University of Exeter. I originally planned to do BSc NatSci but now want to transfer to Physics. I believe I would be capable to study at a more prestigious university and yet I have missed that opportunity.

I'm struggling to socialise with the regret I'm feeling and feel incredibly lonely. If I am unable to transfer course I fear I may break down. The NatSci course isn't what I expected and the physics/maths seems somewhat more dumbed-down than I initally anticipated.

If I am unable to change my course I can only see my options being either to drop out and reapply next year or to try and switch university/course for the start of second year.

I am becoming extremely depressed over this. I want to realise my full potential.

Do you want to transfer to physics at Exeter? That should be straightforward but you need to get on and ask how they manage transfers.

Yes, I plan on asking for advice tomorrow and I have already emailed admissions. Is the Physics department at Exeter any good? I've heard it was 12th in the UK last year.

EDIT: I also particularly like the year in industry option (which I don't see for many Physics courses).
