Hello,
I'm looking to start a full time degree level course next year and am curious on the rules regarding previous study. I studied part time with the open university before the 2012 changes to fees and I received grants for modules. I've read in several places that previous study on a part time degree level course does not count and will not reduce my funding entitlement for a full time course, is this true? If not, when calculating the length of my previous study is it the length of time over which I studied the modules part time or the length of time it would have taken to complete the modules at full time pace?

Hi John,
If your new course is on a full-time basis, your previous part-time study will not be taken into account unless you gained a qualification from your previous study.
