Hi, I would really like to do art and design - photography at a level next year but I am have not done gcse art. Would this matter/would I still be able to do it.
If there is anyone that does alevel photography what percentage of the class did art gcse?

i haven't taken art gcse or a-level but as long as you have good understanding of art and basic things like colour theory then you should be okay at a level. i have heard some people say that a level art covers some of the same stuff as gcse incase some people didnt take both, so don't worry and i say just go for it!

my friend does photography but didn't do art and she's totally fine! GCSE art doesn't give you any of the technical knowledge about photography anyway, it's only useful from the creativity and course structure side of things.
