So a friend of mine completed first year (4 years degree) in a course at a Scottish University was able to transfer to a course in second year (3 years degree) course in a English University. So basically he should be able to complete the degree within just 2 years without needing to do 3 more years in Scottish university. Is this even possible?
He said first year entry in Scottish is ABB and second year entry is A*AA . But his English university entry requirement in year 1 is only BBB. So it would make sense that he can enter the second year?
Also he completed 8 modules in first year and it's level 4 qualification and each model is worth 15 credits. And the English university require 120 credit to be eligible to transfer and also permission from the course tutors to checked that the modules matched correctly.
So he was able to transfer onto second year in a English University from just first Year in Scottish university. Is this allow? I thought Scottish University first year is consider as " foundation year " in English University but Scottish university also have Year 0 which is foundation year.
Please let me know what you guys think about this.
