Thought about this as well g, You cant apply to the nottingham course if your gcse grades can get u into the a100 course ie 6A's/Already AchievedAAA
I got 5A* so does that mean they won't consider my application? That's tough

If you meet the A-level or GCSE requirements for the A100 course, your application wont be considered because you technically meet what they want 🤷🏽*♂️. They’re really really strict but hopefully they’ll still look over and transfer you to the A100 course

Don't your predicted grades need to be lower than BBC for a foundation course for Nottingham and Derby foundation year?
It needs to be lower than AAB because you technically can still apply for A100 if you’re one grade below

...uh oh...what makes you say that?..
Don't mean to a pain, but I was thinking of applying there, and they said that you need to meet specific requirements with your location, funding etc. Along with that, you need to have a predicted grade lower than BBC and also achieve BBC or lower to be considered as a candidate. I messaged them before applying, and they said that I should just apply for a 5 year course, because my predicted grades are 'too good'.

That's the 5 year course, the foundation year requires a predicted grade to be BBC or lower.

I've been predicted ABC and they said I was eligible and that anyone lower than an AAB (not including AAB that is) is eligible? However I did not apply cause it didn't interest me as I found other courses

it says on their website its ok if u only meet one of the two reqs:A Lev/GCSE but in that case you need to meet the "postcode requirement", yeah maybe if ur predictions are like under aaa idk maybe

As I have already said, please research before you post / make a new thread.

Foundation years are usually tagged with contextual requirements, they do have a lower grade requirements but are usually more competitive than normal undergraduate medicine (because of the scarcity of spaces).
