Psychopaths brains are different actually, for starters the link between the amygdala and the right frontal cortex is broken, therefore their impulsivness cannot be controlled. Tons of research has shown parts of their brains have less or more activity, plus smaller or bigger.

1 - They are born. Sociopaths are made.
2 - They have a chronic mental disorder. Not all are violent - in fact many aren't.
3 - Yes, their brains are different. They have different responses in their amygdala and prefontal cortex
4 - 1%
5 - Sadly, yes. They can learn behaviour but they're not going to be "cured" into thinking the same way as non-psychopaths
6 - This is an interesting one. Psychopaths come from all backgrounds. Some from loving, caring homes, whereas others are from abusive or neglective homes. "Extreme Psychopaths" (the ones that kill) can come from both backgrounds
7 - Yes, they can. Psychopaths aren't all necessarily violent. A lot of them are in powerful positions such as politicans or CEOs of large businesses.

I'd definitely advise reading The Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson. It's a VERY interesting book and I've just read it for the second time. Definitely gives a good insight into Psychopaths and also how they're tested.
