You should never divide an equation by something that could be equal to 0, in this case tan(x). You will lose solutions.

You should factorise instead. Have a go and post your working again if you’re stuck.

Also, when you did divide by tan x, you did it incorrectly! You would have got tanx=1\tan x = -1, not 0.
