Hi all

I can’t believe I’m the first.....

Course applied for: Law

Other universities applied for: Oxford, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and another.

I am a Scottish student in sixth year and I am hoping for an unconditional offer based on my Higher results of 5As and a B in fifth year.

I am currently studying advanced highers in RMPS, Modern Studies and Music.
I have already taken my LNAT.

Apart from my long shot Oxford, I am toying up between Glasgow and Edinburgh. My UCAS application is going in next week....

I'm buzzing, just got an offer through!

Course(s) Applied for: Electronic and Software Engineering, Computer Science
Other Unis Applied to: Edinburgh, Strathclyde, Stirling

I was a bit apprehensive applying because I am a mature student and I am studying at the Open University and using their modules as an entry requirment. I shouldn't have fretted, I put my UCAS in on the 7th and recieved an offer today for ESE! Conditional on me passing my module this year (S217 Physics: From Classical to Quantum).

Hi! Applying for Scots law and also applying to Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen and Strathclyde.
Glasgow is my first choice but I suck at the LNAT (taking it in December 😬) so it’s probably going to be the hardest uni for me to win over. Haven’t sent my application yet but hopefully sending it not too long after the October holidays as my pupil support teacher needs to check my personal statement is okay. So excited and nervous at the same time for the whole process 😂

It doesn’t matter when you apply as long as it’s in before the deadline - it’s still pretty early, mine won’t be going in for at least another week or two. Good luck!

Course(s) Applied for: Media, Communications and International Journalism Msc
Other Unis Applied to: University of Florida, City University of London

Application submitted: 18/11/18
Acknowledged: 21/11/18
Offer: 13/12/18 (Conditional)

I am so excited to see other people with accepted offers! This will be my first time formally applying to a school in the UK. I studied abroad last semester at Bournemouth University and fell in love with the schooling. I have not actually applied to UF or City, but I will apply to them if I do not get into Glasgow. However, I am sincerely hoping that I do. I loved my time visiting Scotland and it's my dream to work for BBC Scotland after graduation.

If anyone has other journalism friends at Glasgow let me know! I have no family living outside of the US.

I’m getting nervous. I submitted 18/11 and still haven’t heard back. Is that a bad sign? I’ve never applied to a U.K. school before.
Don’t stress, it’s only been 2/3 weeks and a lot of UK universities wait until January to send out the majority of offers. Every subject has different speeds and processes too so it’s not unusual for some people to have to wait longer than others.
