Obviously a good teacher can make a big difference, but it’s luck of the draw and uni is no different, a good teacher for someone will be a terrible teacher for someone else, in the end it all comes down to you, and how you deal with what you’ve got. Just consider kids from poor countries with the least resources still manage to win scholarships to top flight unis around the world. Basically stop being b***h and toughen up...fight for that A* and if you get an A don’t cry, life ain’t easy

At A-level it's what you put into it much more than it is anything else. I had a terrible teacher, who looking back was probably just very new and I had to put in that much more work - but I got the highest grade. So get yourself a good textbook, the specification and past papers and work like you've never worked before.
