never heard of that. just started a-levels and all i know is long method and calc method.

I don't know, unfortunately I'm not a F1 fan nor do I know anyone that is.

Yeah Gaussian Elimination is taught at uni, but it's a more algorithmic and less messy method. Also very useful for doing 4x4 and higher inverses
