medicine- what if rejected?

If I am rejected from medicine/ decide I don't want my 5th choice. If I called up unis/ used UCAS extra to apply for economics/ maths courses would they be willing to accept me. I have achieved grades and am on a gap year.

If you are rejected on all 4 Medical schools, then you will need to reject your fifth. You will then become eligible for extra and you can make an additional choice.
Be sure to have a separate personal statement ready. There is nothing to stop you identifying the Maths or Economics courses now.
