3/5

Out of the whole school population I mean, not just out of those who study a language.

12/20

How did you get the 12 ?
i would start by choosing a suitable number for the whole school.... maybe 1000

then find 3/4 of 1000

then find 3/5 of the previous number....

3/4 study a language = 25% dont study french already
3/5 study french of the 75%. 3/5x0.75= 0.45
45% of students study french, therefore 65% dont.
45:65 = 9:13

Lol maybe?

it says. thats wrong when i type it in

You're not adding the fractions though. You multiply them.
3/4 of 100 is 75, so 75 people study language

3/5 of 75 is 45, so 45 people study french out of everyone who studies language

So then if 100 people are in the school, 45 people study French?

45:100?
9/20?

Not sure lmao
