In answer to your question, for company, to feel loved and wanted by someone who isn't family, someone to talk to, laugh with, go to places with, share things with..etc

Well I have had a few boyfriends and it isn't that I need to have a boyfriend I have just met guys that I am very attracted to we have started hanging out and eventually become a couple. I enjoy having boyfriends because they are someone that you can confide in and spend time with :smile:

The only reason i ever need 'protecting' is when stupid mosh pits break out at gigs. and i have platonic male friends who do that. i don't do anything silly like walk home across sheffield after a night out, that requires protection.

If I was a lovely girl (and I mean that in the same sarcastic way as you), then I'd try and get a BF to inflict myself on.

i'm with my current boyfriend cause i feel in love with him. when i met him, i didn't want a relationship, especially not with him. but love changes everything. I keep him because otherwise i'd cry all the time, as i'd miss him terribly and feel like a huge chuck of my life and my future would just be gone all of a sudden and that life would be pointless.

I've had a conversation about this with some girl mates (when we were at a sex shop in soho, and they said on whim "who needs men!?").
